Information processed when you visit
Our website is served from a FlokiNET server through Cloudflare. Requests can include your IP address, requested URL, browser information, referring page, and request time. These providers process technical information to deliver pages and protect the service. Server access and error logs are used for troubleshooting, security, and understanding requests.
nginx logs are normally rotated daily, with up to 14 rotated logs retained on the server. Backups or records needed to investigate a specific incident may be retained longer. Provider records follow their own retention practices.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your address, message, and any information you include. The contact address uses Cloudflare Email Routing to forward messages to the publisher's inbox. Email providers also process messages to deliver them. We use correspondence to respond, handle corrections, and address privacy requests. We do not add you to a marketing list.
We retain correspondence for as long as needed to address the matter and any follow-up or applicable record-keeping obligation. You can ask us to delete it. Please avoid sending health records or other sensitive information.
Cookies, analytics, and local storage
The website uses local storage to remember your analytics choice. It does not currently set advertising cookies or load ad scripts. Cloudflare may use cookies or similar mechanisms for security and abuse prevention, depending on the protection applied to a request. SeeCloudflare's cookie information. The public site also loads a Cloudflare analytics/performance beacon through the Cloudflare service. It measures page visits and page-loading performance to help understand how the site works for visitors. SeeCloudflare's Web Analytics descriptionfor its collection practices. This is separate from Google Analytics and Google advertising.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand page views and reading activity when you chooseAllow analytics. Until you allow it, the website does not load the Google Analytics tag or send it analytics measurements. Declining does not restrict access to content.
If allowed, Google receives technical and usage information such as page addresses, page titles, referrers, device/browser information, approximate location, page views and scroll activity. Google processes your IP address to provide its service. Its handling varies by region; see itsEU, Switzerland and UK informationand information for other regions. Analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_… distinguish browsers. Our tag sets a 90-day cookie lifetime without extending it on each visit. Browser settings may shorten storage, and cookies may be recreated on a later consented visit.
We send page and referrer addresses without query strings or fragments. We do not configure user IDs, Google signals, advertising personalization, or automatic form and site-search tracking. Your choice is stored on this browser for up to 180 days. Use Analytics choicesin the footer to change it at any time. Withdrawing consent disables further analytics, removes accessible Analytics cookies for this site, and reloads the page. It does not delete measurements already received by Google. Clearing site storage or using another browser may prompt a new choice.
We retain user/event-level Analytics data for two months using the property's retention setting. Aggregated standard reports can follow different retention rules. These analytics controls are separate from the advertising consent service needed before any future Google ads.
Advertising status and any future changes
Ko Myat does not currently serve Google AdSense or other paid advertisements. We may apply to AdSense. An application or account verification does not mean ads are being shown.
Before advertising is enabled, this policy will be updated to identify the providers and data practices in use. Google advertising may share information with Google and other advertising partners, and may use cookies for ads based on visits to this and other websites. Google's advertising cookies can enable Google and its partners to personalize ads.
You can manage Google advertising preferences throughMy Ad Center and some other vendors' choices throughYourAdChoices. Readhow Google uses information from sites using its services. These links describe third-party services; visiting Ko Myat does not currently load their ad code.
Where required, consent controls must be available before advertising technologies are enabled. For Google ads served to visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, that includes a Google-certified consent management platform. Such an advertising consent service is not currently deployed here.
Sharing and international processing
Technical and email providers process information to operate the site and communications. The hosting server is in Romania; providers may process information in other countries. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by applicable law or to investigate abuse or protect the service.
Requests about your information
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, or complain to a data protection authority. Email[email protected] to make a request. We may need enough information to verify and locate the relevant record; avoid sending identity documents unless specifically needed.
Children and external links
Ko Myat is written for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Please contact us if you believe a child has sent us personal information. External websites have their own privacy practices.
